Five Paint Colours Of The Year 2026
5 Shades Worth Watching
A first look at the top 2026 paint colours from leading brands.
Five calm, grounded shades you’ll be seeing everywhere next year, including my favourite.
I feel a bit of a fraud writing about autumn and winter colour trends while I’m 8,000 miles away in Lombok, where the temperature is consistently 30 °C.
But from here I’ve been tracking what the big paint brands are revealing and these five paint colours caught my eye.
Calm, grounded, soul-soothing tones that feel like a warm blanket.
Suffice to say this is marketing hype from the pain companies but I still think there is some great inspiration here…

1. Benjamin Moore – Silhouette
This is the 2026 pick from Benjamin Moore described as “an alluring mix of rich espresso hues with subtle notes of charcoal.”
A dark-neutral with presence. It’s not black-and-white minimalism; it’s mood and depth delivered with elegance.

2. Behr – Hidden Gem
Deep jade meets smoky green: Behr’s Color of the Year for 2026 is this blue-green wonder.
It’s bold enough to make a statement; muted enough to not shout.

3. Little Greene – Adventurer
My favourite. A muted tone that feels creative and luxurious but not over-done.
Paired with olive or soft greens it becomes truly compelling.

4. Graham & Brown – Divine Damson
Deep oxblood red with richness and character.
A strong choice for someone wanting something dramatic yet refined.

5. Sherwin‑Williams – Universal Khaki
Soft, warm, neutral-with-character,
it’s hues are a great key colour that will shift with whatever sits beside it..
This khaki-taupe works everywhere and anchors the palette nicely when you want something less bold.
Final Thoughts
What ties these five colours together? They’re not loud. They’re not aggressive. They’re rich, textured, subtle statements. If you’re refreshing a hospitality space, wanting a fabric pairing or simply thinking about your next branding-oriented interior move, these hues are grounded and expressive.
And if I had to pick one? I’m still full-on in love with Adventurer a fabulous colour that is named is also somewhat apt!
